Good to know

Which beaches in Dubai allow dogs?

Dubai Islands Beach, off Deira, is the city's only official public beach for dogs: dogs arrive on a leash and can swim off-leash under supervision. Palm West Beach lets leashed dogs in at its restaurants, but not in the water. Public beaches such as Kite Beach, JBR and La Mer don't allow dogs.

Are dogs allowed in Dubai's public parks?

Mostly not: most Dubai Municipality parks don't allow pets. Burj Park in Downtown is an exception, and many communities have their own dog parks, such as Dubai Hills (Maple 2), JLT (Cluster V), The Springs 8, JVC and DAMAC Hills.

Do dogs need to be on a leash in Dubai?

Yes, in all public areas. Off-leash play is for fenced dog parks and the off-leash area at Dubai Islands Beach.

Where can I take my dog in Dubai in summer?

Go indoors in the hottest months: indoor play spaces such as My Second Home, and cafés that let dogs inside, such as Pawdy Neighbors and Tail Cafe. Outdoors, stick to early mornings and late evenings.
